Senior Thesis and Website Update

Robot on Blueprint

So I have been working hard on my senior thesis over the past few days. I'm slightly behind where I want to be, but I'm not too far behind!

A summary of what I'm doing: An interactive educational art project explaining the robot design process to third graders and younger to inspire girls and minorities to pursue a STEAM education.

I'm planning on integrating a series of animations in a video game format and to display it like in a children's museum type of setting.

Pictured are some final robot designs. I still need to figure out a nice color palette.

Concept Sketches

So my goal was to have animations of these guys and have at least two actions available, but I haven't gotten to that yet. I'm hoping to have that done by the end of the weekend! Below are thoughts of the movements I intended to animate!

I'm hoping to update the website soon with all the art I've done for the past few months. I'm also going to add a page documenting my senior thesis process! I have also done a few game development projects, so I'm going to record some game play footage, polish it up, and upload it to my YouTube page and link it to the game dev pages.

I've done games based on real life celebrity Toby Philpott as a puppet attempting to start his day, an individual attempting to rob a casino in a "Keep Talking and No One Explodes" style game, and finally a negotiation game between two warring generals. I'm not feeling the latest game. I wanted to do a heist since it could have been a lighter topic and not so violent.

Oh well. Throughout the semester I've collected some fun game ideas I may tackle later!

Princess Flux: Journeys of the Abstract Princess will also resume January 14, 2018! Some character sketches will be uploaded as well!

Since the end of the semester will be upon me, my streaming times will be changing. I try to stream Thurs - Sat, but I can't make any promises I'll stick to the times. I've been doing well for the past two days. x]!

I'm editing some speed paint videos, and I'm going to experiment just doing a voice over versus finding the right song that won't violate YouTube's stringent rules, and I don't have to edit songs to fit to whatever length of video I have.

That's pretty much it for updates!

See you next time!

Ja Ne!
